Greatness
Greatness is defined as remarkable or outstanding in magnitude, degree, or extent. No longer my friends. This is what greatness is. Great work. A story that is truly unique in design, aesthetics that fit the story as well as retain individualism, sound that was crisp and clear in not only the music (as this is usually clear in most since they are usually ripped .MP3s of real work) but in the voice work as well. No slurs, or hisses are heard in the recordings at all, something that tends to be in many voiced pieces. Awesome job, you stand up there, maybe even a bit above, Bitey of Brackenwood and Prowlies at the River, HitchHiker series here on NG, and There she is!!! by SamBakZa for sheer quality. You possess a quality that so few have. Once again, great work. Very professional
Looks spectacular
Unique character designs (especially for clay characters), good sound, sensibly funny dialogue, smooth framerate, and a ship made out of cards. Looks like a winner to me! Can't wait!
I love the stuff you 2 do, I still remember the first time I saw Spin. Awesome stuff.
Not really a parody.
A parody pokes fun and ridicules the style of something or the substance (movie) itself. This basically was a quick remake of the actually movie which in itself blew. Also, parody's are usually funny. There was nothing funny about this movie. Napoleon's voice sounded like a 13 year old with a cold, and Pedro's voice sounded like someone with down syndrome.
There was no real unique writing involved in this "parody" either. You changed about 2 or 3 things to keep it Mario themed, but overall it is overshadowed by the poor ass Napoleon bullshit.
I didn't care for this movie although it was decently animated. It lacked depth, story, sound, hilarity, and integrity; all things that a good flash (or parody even) usually do have.
Awesome!
Absolutely awesome. Great work and a shining example of what a good collaboration should be. I enjoy all collabs personally, but this one is the cream of the cream right now.
I hate John Milton
But this was ok by me.
Very Nice
Although I hate that style of characters, I can not let my personal taste get in the way of the review. It was very well done and quite impressive. The song goes very well with the pace of the movie and it looks quite professional in the way characters are introduced as well as drawn. Reminds me of these shows they are pumping out these days for an A.D.D. infested youth induced by television and other easily accessed media.
Overall, it was a great flash piece.
The Bar has been raised... again!
Your first RotMK set new standards for flash animations. With each new one you raised the bar again and again, proving there still is room for creativity as well as quality in sprite animations. You have created a series that stands out from all other Mario parodies as well as sprite movies as a whole. This is quality at its finest. The sounds were spot on and the music selection was fitting. The graphics were great, I always love the amount of layers in each background, detail is the key to an excellent movie, and this would make a great template for those who wish to make a great movie. From the custom sprites to the transition from stance to stance, to the multiple BG layers, the graphics were great. A lot of style, completely on it's own in terms of style (in terms of sprite animations as well).
Incomparable.
